Don’t Leave Your Links Naked And Vulnerable!
-

Just like you wouldn’t want to be butt-naked in the middle of the streets, neither exactly do your links. Looking around on the internet, blogs, forums etc, I see many people leaving their affiliate links “naked” and I must ask, WHY?!
Are you just too lazy to hide your affiliate links or do you not know about the dangers of leaving an affiliate link “naked” in the cyberspace?
The Dangers Of Affiliate Hijackers.
For everyone who’s leaving their links “naked”, I’ll assume you have no clue whatsoever about Affiliate Hijackers. By leaving your links wide open, you also leave them vulnerable to get stolen. What this means is that when people click on your link, instead of getting your commission or referral, someone else does. Your commissions and referrals got “hijacked” into someone else’s account.
Do you normally have a steady commission from some site but suddenly it dropped a huge percentage? You probably got hijacked. Noticed that you never earn any commissions at all but have a ton of click-throughs? Yep, probably got hijacked.
How To Prevent Your Links From Being Naked And Vulnerable On The Cyberspace
Use link cloakers, for example check out http://www.SlamUrl.com which is my personal favorite. It’s safe, simple and effective, best of all, it’s free! Here’s an excerpt from SlamURL.com:
2. Safer – SlamURLs’ best feature. We protect your privacy by hiding the referrer! What does this mean?
First check out this link created by TinyURL – http://tinyurl.com/6×4uz
Now check out the exact same URL created by SlamURL – http://www.slamurl.com/testreferrer
See the difference? We hide and protect your privacy by blanking out the referrer! Read more about why you should hide your privacy…
Start being smart, stop losing commissions and start cloaking your links!

Doesn’t that also mean you get slammed on SE ranks?

You’ll only need to cloak outgoing affiliate links so there’s no SE ranking harm done.
