I don’t really consider Hubpages and Squidoo as article directories (my opinion) but I guess they do work. They’re more like a “create a page about *topic*” to me but meh.

http://www.helium.com – higher quality (though lower traffic) than most. Rougher ride to get published, excellent Marketplace.

http://www.constant-content.com – tough editing if you don’t fit their style. Useful ‘supermarket’ to resell articles in.

http://www.hubpages.com – more of a Squidoo style, good traffic.

http://www.squidoo.com – doh, almost forgot it.
