A blog is sometimes called a web log or weblog. When blogs first came out, they were used as a personal place, for collecting links, sharing commentary (like MySpace) but now; they are widely adopted and used to advertise for anything imaginable. Infact, blogs are widely utilized by professionals and newbies alike.
What makes blogs so great?
The great thing about blogs is that people read them for fun and for information. Blogging allows you to cover business, pleasure, networking and play.
Blogs give your readers, not only a chance to read about you, but also a chance to comment and talk with you. By being able to connect to you, readers are more likely to come back and visit your site again.
Another great features about blogs is that anyone can make one. Yes even you. Right now. You don't need any knowledge of programming or designing (though it'll help) and you don't even need to take a dollar out of your wallet. You can blog for free, for fun, and for your business.
You can blog about anything, and I mean anything. Want to blog about that bottle of water you drank earlier? Have fun. Want to blog about your cat, printer, doll or hat? Why not? All you need is an idea in your head and a keyboard (along with a computer also of course).
Blogging has also became an extra source of income for many people. Some people make less than a dollar a month, others make over 6 figures a year, it depends on your blog really. It doesn't take a genius to make money from blogging either, there's paid blogging, affiliate marketing and the most simple yet still effective method, placing ads on your blog(s).
